New Funding Opportunity for the Racial and Gender Justice in Communities (Northeast England, Wales, West Midlands, and Yorkshire and Humber)

As part of its new funding strategy, Comic Relief has announced the launch of several funding programmes to support racial and gender justice, women's and feminist movements in Sierra Leone, and the youth homeless sector.

Details of the upcoming funding opportunities are as follows:

  1. Funding for organisations and movements based in the Northeast of England, Wales, West Midlands, and/or Yorkshire and the Humber to promote fairness and equity in their local communities. This fund will be launched in the first week of April 2024. Comic Relief will offer multi-year, core, and flexible funding.

  2. Comic Relief will introduce a new funding call to bolster women and feminist movements located and operating in Sierra Leone. Multiyear, flexible, and core funding will be provided.

  3. Comic Relief anticipates launching a new funding opportunity for organisations specialising in providing support to young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. This funding will be available to organisations already active in this field. Additional funding criteria are currently under development. More information about the funding and the application process will be released in April 2024.
