Youth charity Impetus, in partnership with the Henry Smith Charity, is seeking applications from charities and other third sector organisations working to improve school engagement and reduce exclusions.
Two organisations will receive funding of £100,000 per year for at least two years to deliver high quality interventions that will tackle the rising number of school exclusions and improve outcomes for disadvantaged young people who are struggling to engage in mainstream and/or alternative provision in England.
The interventions will help them to develop essential life skills, reintegrate into school when appropriate, and achieve the qualifications they need.
Each organisation must:
- have a minimum turnover of £250,000
- be working with a minimum of 100 young people directly or 1000 young people indirectly
The funding is made available through the Engage Fund which closes to first stage applications on the 16th February 2024.
