Grants of up to £800,000 Available to Maximise the Benefits of Existing Bioscience Research (UK)

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council is inviting proposals for its latest Follow-on Funding call.

A total of £2.25 million is available to help UK research organisations maximise the commercial, economic, and societal benefits of their bioscience research.

Both early-stage projects aimed at de-risking innovative ideas and later-stage projects that encompass significant technical milestones are supported.

The full economic cost (FEC) of a project can be up to £800,000. 80% of the FEC will be funded for up to two years’ work.

Partnerships are welcome, but must be led by a principal investigator which currently or previously held BBSRC funding.

The deadline for applications is 4pm on the 27th March 2024.
