The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has opened the Together for Service Families: Placed Based Grants Programme, offering portfolio grants of up to £350,000 for location-focused projects supporting families of serving personnel and reservists within the UK.
The fund aims to mitigate the impact of separation and relocation for serving Armed Forces families by funding portfolios of local projects that strengthen support, reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, and strengthen coordination between services. Projects should be led by one organisation and delivered with local partners.
Funding is available for projects lasting up to three and a half years, including an initial discovery or development phase of up to six months. The funding is intended to help organisations that understand their local area build strong partnerships, identify needs in depth, and create lasting change for the families they serve.
The fund is open to UK-registered charities with experience of supporting armed forces communities or local authorities.
Expressions of Interest close on 19 August 2026, with invited full applications due on 20 January 2027.
