Visa and Nationwide have announced that Let’s Celebrate Towns 2026 is open for entries, offering five grants of £20,000 to support community projects in towns across the UK. The joint initiative recognises towns that are responding to local challenges and building stronger, more resilient local economies.
Entries are invited from MPs and local leaders, local authorities and town councils, and community groups and organisations.
One winner will be selected in each of five categories:
- High Street Revival
- Backing Local Business
- Protecting Valued Places
- Connected Places
- Community Pride
To be eligible, towns must have populations between 5,000 and 225,000, and only one entry per town is allowed in each category.
Since its launch, the programme has supported 22 towns nationwide, funding community-driven projects that deliver lasting impact, from cultural festivals and high street revivals to heritage restoration.
Winners will attend a national awards ceremony at the Houses of Parliament.
Entries close on 25 October 2026.
