Funding for UK and International Collaborative Arts Projects (UK)

The British Council has launched a new £3.5 million programme to help arts and culture organisations develop and deliver creative and innovative projects in collaboration with international partners.

International Collaboration Grants will support organisations (including consortia, community-based and artist-led) to work together with international organisations on digital, face-to-face, and/or hybrid artistic projects.

To be eligible UK artists need to collaborate with artists in Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Norway, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi, Spain,South Africa, Sudan, Taiwan,Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, and Vietnam

Small grants of up to £20,000 and large grants of £75,000 will support artists to make and develop creative artwork that:

  • demonstrate new forms or content;
  • that work with a new partner, or in a new country;
  • or that approach audiences in a new way.

Projects are encouraged to address significant contemporary themes, such as climate change, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, inclusion, ageing and other areas of diversity.

The deadline for applications is the 4th November 2021.
