Grant News
The Big Give has announced that its 2026 Women and Girls Match Fund is now open for applications from charities seeking to raise between £500 and £10,000 in public donations, which will be matched through the campaign’s 1:1 funding model.
Big Give is a UK charity that runs match-funding campaigns to help charities increase fundraising income and supporter engagement. The programme is aimed at organisations whose core mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls.
Eligible applicants must be UK-registered charities, or charities with tax-exempt status, with annual income of at least £5,000. Organisations may work in the UK or overseas, and can apply for support towards specific projects or core costs.
Priority will be given to charities led by Black and minoritised women and girls, LGBTQI women and girls, and Disabled women and girls.
Key details include:
- match funding requests can be worth up to 10% of a charity’s annual income;
• successful charities receive a ring-fenced match-funding pot that is unlocked by public donations during the live campaign;
• donations made above target are treated as extra, unmatched and potentially unrestricted income.
Applications close at 5pm on 24 June 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by 18 August, ahead of the seven-day campaign running from 6 to 13 October 2026.
Applications must be submitted through a Big Give account via the charity portal.
