Funding to Support Local Community and Climate Action (Oxforshire)

Low Carbon Hub is offering Small Community Grants of up to £750 to support community groups across Oxfordshire. The organisation develops community-owned renewable energy projects and uses the resulting community benefit to support local action on climate change.

Funding can support any activity that benefits the community group and helps it thrive, as well as projects promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable transport.

 Previous grants have supported

  • thermal imaging projects,
  • repair cafés,
  • EV charging improvements,
  • community events
  • environmental activities.

Highlights:

  • Applicants must be members of the Low Carbon Hub Community Groups Network in Oxfordshire.
  • Groups can apply for one grant of up to £750 per financial year.
  • Non-members involved in low-carbon community activity can enquire about joining the network.

Applications for 2026/27 are open until 5pm on 5 February 2027, subject to funds remaining available. Applications are made through a simple online form. Eligible Low Carbon Hub community groups are encouraged to apply early while funding remains available.
