Comic Relief Community Fund to Re-Opens for Applications (England)

Grass roots, community led organisations in England can apply for grants of up to £10,000 through the Comic Relief Community Fund.

The Fund is supporting organisations to deliver projects within four strategic themes;

  • A Safe Place To Be: Supporting people to rebuild their lives because of homelessness or forced migration.
  • Children Survive & Thrive:  Supporting children up to the age of 11 to grow, play and learn
  • Gender Justice: Championing those who identify as women and girls, including initiatives tackling domestic violence, abuse or exploitation
  • Mental Health Matters: Supporting good mental health in communities and tackling stigma and discrimination.

The funding is split as follows:

  • Up to £1,000 for capacity building
  • Up to £9,000 for project delivery

Funding is available for both project delivery and organisational development.

To be eligible, organisations need to have an annual income of less than £250,000 and must be able to demonstrate how people with lived experience of the issues being tackled are involved in the organisation and the project.

The fund is being managed by the environmental charity Groundwork.

The closing date for applications is the 30th November 2022.
