Grant News
HM Revenue and Customs is offering £11 million in grant funding for voluntary, community and nonprofit organisations to support people who need extra help engaging with HMRC services from April 2027 to March 2030.
The funding is intended to help unrepresented customers resolve tax-related issues, build confidence and return to mainstream HMRC channels.
The programme is open to registered charities, voluntary and community sector organisations, social enterprises, mutuals and co-operatives. Eligible applicants must have at least three years of financial history, annual turnover of at least £80,000 and financial systems capable of tracking grant spending.
The funding is aimed at organisations serving people with barriers such as low digital confidence, disabilities, mental health conditions, language barriers, bereavement, domestic or economic abuse, or other circumstances that make them harder to reach.
Grants will range from £40,000 to £1 million per year, capped at 50% of an organisation’s turnover based on its latest audited accounts.
HMRC will hold live Q&A sessions for interested applicants June 11 and June 17, 2026.
Applications must be submitted through the government’s Find a Grant system.
The closing date for applications is 11:59 pm on 3 July 2026.
