Grants Available for Community Energy Projects (South West)

The Community Energy Fund, managed by the South West Net Zero Hub, offers grants to support urban and rural community-driven energy projects. This is part of a national £10m grant scheme for communities to develop energy services to benefit their local area.

Organisations can apply for up to £40,000 for feasibility studies and up to £100,000 for projects that are feasible, with a good chance of securing planning permission and being implemented, to cover more detailed investigation of the relevant technology, planning applications, advanced landowner agreements and development of a robust business case to attract sufficient investment.

Eligible applicants include charitable organisations, social enterprises, community interest companies, and town councils, etc in the South West region of England.

The next funding round will open on the 10th September until the 4th November 2024.
