Funding Available to Transform Lives through Community Projects (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney & Waltham Forest)

Grants of up to £20,000 are available for individuals, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, and schools to deliver projects that improve the lives and careers of people in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest.

The funding is made available through the community grant strand of the Year 5 Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, which aims to support local, diverse-led organisations and individuals in creating new jobs, learning, skills, training, and educational programmes through the arts, culture, innovation, public realm, and creative placemaking.

To be eligible, all projects must address at least one of four key themes:

  • employment opportunities
  • learning opportunities
  • youth support
  • business and entrepreneurship support

Individuals are eligible to apply for a maximum of £5,000.

Schools must provide evidence that the funding applied for will not be for core school day/curriculum activity.

This strand offers a total of £200,000 and closes to expressions of interest at 12 p.m. on September 20th, 2024.
