Grant News
Community groups across London can now apply for grants of up to £60,000 through the Mayor of London’s new Loved and Wanted Fund. The £900,000 programme, run by the Greater London Authority, aims to strengthen local spaces and organisations that support residents facing financial hardship, exclusion, and inequality.
This can include for example:
- Faith halls and places of worship.
- Community hubs.
- Shared gardens.
- Youth clubs.
- Libraries, cultural organisations, volunteering centres.
Up to 15 organisations will receive funding of up to £60,000 to continue or expand their work between February 2026 and March 2028. The initiative forms part of the Mayor’s Loved and Wanted campaign, designed to foster belonging and resilience in London’s diverse communities.
Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit organisations such as charities, community interest companies, or co-operatives. They must operate a physical community venue, have served their local area for at least five years, and demonstrate financial stability with annual turnover between £100,000 and £10 million. Applicants also need a bank account with two unrelated signatories and the legal structure to contract with the GLA.
The GLA encourages collaboration, with larger organisations expected to work alongside smaller partners. Groups must also show willingness to bridge divides across communities and faiths.
The closing date for applications is 11.59 pm on 19 October 2025. The Greater London Authority’s website, with grants awarded in early 2026.
