Grant News
Arts and cultural organisations in the UK and Germany can apply for funding through the Cultural Bridge 2026–2027 programme, which opens on 1 October 2025. The funding is being made available through Cultural Bridge is a bi-national arts funding partnership between the UK and Germany, which supports arts and cultural organisations across the UK and Germany to develop partnerships that explore social arts practice.
The scheme offers a total of £370,000 (€430,000) to support up to 20 awards.
Two funding tiers are available: up to £10,000 for new partnerships focused on practice exchange and development, and up to £30,000 for established collaborations to deliver co-developed projects. Organisations may also request additional contributions towards personal access costs.
To be eligible, applicants must be based in the UK or Germany and demonstrate expertise in social arts practice working with communities. The programme is open to all artforms, but priority will be given to smaller organisations, those outside major cities, and those empowering local communities or advancing equity, diversity and inclusion.
Applications close at midday (UK) and 1pm (Germany) on 12 November 2025. Decisions will be announced by 2 February 2026, with funded activity expected to run from April 2026 to March 2027. Full guidance is available in English, German, Welsh and Gaelic.
The Cultural Bridge programme is delivered in partnership by Arts Council England, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Arts Council of Wales, Creative Scotland, Fonds Soziokultur, Goethe-Institut London, and Wales Arts International.
