Grant News
The Freshwater Foundation has opened the first of its two 2026 funding rounds,
The London-based charitable funder supports small voluntary and community organisations working for public benefit in Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon. Grants are available for projects, development work and capital costs, with some revenue costs permitted where they directly support the funded activity. The Foundation states that it is more flexible with newer groups and may also support some initial running costs where this helps establish groups for the longer term.
Key eligibility points include:
- applicants must be voluntary or community organisations carrying out charitable work;
- groups in Ealing can be constituted but do not need to be incorporated;
- groups in Hounslow or Hillingdon must be a CIO, CIC, registered charity or incorporated social enterprise company limited by guarantee with solely charitable aims;
- solely constituted groups are not currently eligible in Hounslow or Hillingdon;
- groups that are not yet incorporated may be supported through that process, although this may take time;
- requests must be under £2,000;
- applicant organisations should usually have income of around £100,000 or less and projects should generally be worth £30,000 or less overall.
Past funding appears to have focused on small, local charitable community projects, including project delivery, start-up support, and some capital or development costs, particularly where there is clear benefit to communities in Ealing, Hounslow or Hillingdon.
The closing date for applications is 3 May 2026.
