Grants Available to Support Disability Justice Campaigning and Advocacy (London)

Trust for London has announced that its Disability Justice Fund is open for applications from Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations working for long-term change for Deaf and Disabled Londoners. The fund is delivered by Trust for London and City Bridge Foundation and supports work to build a stronger, more diverse and sustainable disability justice movement across the capital.

Grants are available for projects lasting up to four years. Most grants for established organisations are expected to range from £30,000 to £180,000. Development grants for smaller or newer groups are likely to range from £10,000 to £35,000.

Funding can support:
· campaigning and advocacy that challenges injustice at local, regional or national level;
· new or creative ways of organising, mobilising or campaigning;
· work to build the capacity of DDPOs to campaign, influence and mobilise;
· campaigns led by DDPOs or coalitions on issues important to the disability movement.

Applicants should meet Inclusion London’s definition of a DDPO, including having at least 75% of the board or management committee and at least 50% of paid staff who are Deaf or Disabled people. Priority will be given to intersectional organisations, organisations led by people with learning difficulties, and organisations led by visually impaired people.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the end of 2027. Applicants should complete an eligibility quiz and expression of interest. Shortlisted groups will be asked for further information and invited to meet the funder. The full process usually takes three to four months.
