Grants to Support Social Action Projects in Areas Affected by Serious Violence (Bristol)

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for charities, community groups, and other non-profit organisations to fund social action projects in Bristol communities most impacted by serious violence.

The funding is provided by Bristol One City through the Social Action Grants Programme, which aims to support social action activities that achieves one or more of the following outcomes for preventing serious violence:

  • build whole community resilience to incidents of serious violence
  • increase social connections within and across communities to build cohesion
  • grow community confidence in order to develop leadership and collective responsibility
  • build peer to peer activity and mutual support

Grants could support initiatives such as community picnics that celebrate local youth and bring families together or summer camps that steer young people away from antisocial behaviour.

Applications are particularly encouraged from Black-led community groups, youth-led groups, and residents’ associations.

The deadline for applications is 11am on the 2nd December 2024.
