Grants of up to £15,000 Available to Support Ethnic Minority Community Development (Scotland)

Ethnic minority-led organisations in Scotland can apply for grants of between £500 and £15,000 to foster community cohesion, empower individuals, and enhance spaces significant to ethnic minority communities.

The funding is being made available through the Ethnic Minority Development Fund, a partnership between CEMVO Scotland and The National Lottery Community Fund.

Eligible organisations must have at least 60% representation of people from an ethnic minority background in leadership roles and an annual income of £100,000 or less.

The type of organisations eligible to apply are:

  • Unregistered voluntary or community organisations
  • Constituted groups or clubs
  • Not for profit companies
  • Registered charities
  • Charitable incorporated organisation (SCIO) 
  • Community interest company (CIC) 

The fund supports projects that bring ethnic minority people together, support them to achieve their potential, and improve places and spaces that matter to these communities. ​

The closing date for applications is the 14th April 2025.

CEMVO Scotland is inviting potential applicants to attend one of the funding support sessions.  These are being held on:

  • Monday 17th of March at 10:00am
  • Tuesday 1st of April at 10:00
