The Royal Society of Biology (RSB) is inviting applications for its 2025 Outreach Grants, which aim to support biology-themed activities that engage diverse public audiences. The funding which is made available throigh the Outreach and Engagement GrantsOutreach and Engagement Grantsis intended to help teachers and educators promote a better understanding of biology among students and local communities, especially those who are currently underrepresented in science.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available per applicant. The total amount of funding allocated for the scheme is £20,000. Projects should be innovative and support the communication of biology in creative ways. Examples include interactive workshops, art-science collaborations, school science fairs, and community science outreach events.
The grant is open to schools, colleges, museums, community groups, and learned societies in the UK . Teachers who are individual members of the Royal Society of Biology can apply to deliver projects within their school or college, and also involve wider community groups. The aim is to broaden participation in science and inspire interest in biology through hands-on and inclusive activities.
The application window closes on the 6th July 2025.
