Grant News
Hospices across the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man can now apply for a share of £100,000 in funding to improve their end-of-life care facilities.
The funding is delivered by Hospice UK in partnership with the Screwfix Foundation, through the Hospice Capital Improvement Grants Programme.
Grants of up to £10,000 will support capital costs, including:
- LED lighting/boiler/heating improvements in patient rooms and community spaces - where people in need will benefit directly from the improvements
- Electric Vehicle (EV) charging – if the vehicles are used predominantly to support people in need of transportation
- Door improvements – to make the hospice more accessible and heating efficient/more comfortable for patients and families
- Environmentally friendly windows – to make the building more comfortable
- Sensory gardens
- Ensuring patients have an accessible outdoor space
The funding aims to enhance comfort for hospice users, while helping hospices improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Eligible applicants must be members of Hospice UK, including NHS Hospices. It includes children’s and adult hospices.
Hospices that have received a grant directly from the Screwfix Foundation within the past 2 years are not eligible to apply.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 13th April 2026.
Decisions will be announced at the end of May 2026.
