Grant News
Edinburgh Airport has announced that applications are open for its Edinburgh Airport Community Fund, which supports community groups and charities working to improve opportunities, facilities and services for local people.
Edinburgh Airport, Scotland’s busiest airport, says the fund is intended to ensure nearby communities share in the airport’s success.
Eligible applicants must be based in specified postcode areas across EH, FK and KY districts, with priority given to communities closest to the airport or most affected by aircraft noise and airport operations.
The maximum grant is £7,000.
Projects must align with at least one of the four pillars of the airport’s Greater Good sustainability strategy:
- Zero Carbon
- Enhancing Scotland
- Scotland’s Best Business
- Trusted Neighbour
Funding can support initiatives linked to climate action, biodiversity, local partnerships, skills and employment, and work that improves health, care, shelter and rehabilitation for vulnerable people. The fund will not cover items such as staff salaries, consultant fees, travel, utilities, IT equipment or general administration. Gala days and cultural events can apply for up to £750, while some cost-of-living support bids may be considered up to £1,500 on a case-by-case basis.
Applications are reviewed by a community fund board made up of airport and local representatives. Meetings take place three times a year, with applications closing two weeks before each meeting, and successful payments usually processed within six weeks.
Applications close at 23:59 on 13 August 2026.
