Funding to Make Rowing More Inclusive & Accessible (UK)

British Rowing, in partnership with Love Rowing, has announced the Adaptive Rowing Equipment Fund 2025. The fund aims to increase participation of disabled people in rowing by supporting clubs with essential adaptive equipment. Grants of up to £2,000 per club are available.

Eligible applicants include British Rowing-affiliated clubs or associate organisations located in England. Priority will be given to clubs that have not previously offered rowing opportunities for disabled people due to a lack of equipment or coaching. The primary beneficiaries are disabled people and adaptive rowers, with the equipment enabling them to progress and remain active participants.

There should be a connection with a Learn to Row programme held by the club. This could be a dedicated programme for disabled people / adaptive rowers learning to row or ensure that a club’s Learn to Row programme can integrate and meet the needs disabled people / adaptive rowers into the activity.

Recipients can also receive coach CPD from British Rowing aimed at improving adaptive rowing capabilities. Applications close at 12 noon on 11 July 2025. Applicants can apply online via the form available on Love Rowing’s website loverowing.org.

The decision-making panel, comprising representatives from Love Rowing and British Rowing, will review submissions and notify applicants of outcomes by 4 August 2025
