Funding to Support Football Clubs to Become More Energy-Efficient (England)

Grassroots football clubs and organisations can apply to a new £6 million funding programme to become more energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable. Launched by the Premier League, the FA, the Energy Support Programme offers two funding schemes. The Energy Fund and the Floodlight Fund.

  • The Energy Fund will cover 75% of the costs, up to £25,000, for energy-saving measures for clubhouses and pavilions. Interested parties including football clubs, charities, and community organisations operating affiliated football on their sites can submit an EOI.
  • The Floodlight Fund will cover up to 70% of the costs of replacing halogen floodlights with LED floodlights. Clubs and organisations that have received funding from the Football Foundation for floodlit 3G football turf pitches will be directly invited to submit an EOI.

The deadline for expressions of interest for both funds is 13th April 2023.
