Grants of up to £1,000 Available for Performing Arts Projects that Boost Audience Engagement (UK)

The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust is currently accepting applications for its "The Arts: Improving Access" grant programme. The focus is on projects that improve audience engagement with and attendance of live performing arts projects – theatre, dance or music – particularly audiences who do not usually have the opportunity to attend performances.

The Trust won’t consider applications from non-performing arts projects, or projects focusing on performers.

Organisations eligible to apply include UK registered charities or organisations that are exempt from registration. The Trust foes not give grants for any other type of not-for-profit organisation, social enterprise or community foundation.

Projects centred on performers or non-performing arts are not eligible. Additionally, the Trust does not fund salaries for charity staff unless they are specifically employed for the project in question.

Eligible charities can apply for a grant of £5,000 during Grant Round 2, which is open from 1st to 30th April 2025. To qualify, charities must have a minimum operating income and expenditure of £1,000,000.

Applications are submitted online through the Trust's website. Prospective applicants should first review the eligibility criteria and priorities to ensure their project aligns with the Trust's focus areas. A sample application form is available to guide applicants through the required information.

For any queries, the Trust can be contacted via email at admin@austin-hope-pilkington.org.uk .
