Grant News
The Charity Service, an independent, not-for-profit organisation based in Manchester that supports charitable giving and administers grants to help individuals and community organisations across the region, is currently accepting applications for two funding streams aimed at supporting disadvantaged communities and young people across Greater Manchester and neighbouring areas.
The Greater Manchester Grants programme is intended to help charities and community organisations deliver projects that tackle social isolation, homelessness prevention, and support for vulnerable families. Grants of up to £3,000 are available, with most awards around £1,000. Eligible applicants include registered charities and voluntary organisations with annual expenditure under £1 million and at least three years of operational history. Funding can cover project costs, capital purchases, and core costs. Applications under £1,000 are considered on a rolling basis, while those above that amount are reviewed by a grants committee. The next deadline is 4:00 pm on Friday, 25 July 2025, with decisions expected by 15 August 2025. Applications should be submitted by contacting Pete Yarwood via email or phone.
The Chronicle Cinderella Home Fund supports children and young people under 25 who are sick, disabled, or facing disadvantage. Individual grants of up to £1,000 and group grants up to £3,000 are available, with the same average value as above. Funds can be used for respite care, educational trips, or items that improve wellbeing. Applicants must reside in Greater Manchester, East Lancashire, North East Cheshire, or North West Derbyshire. Applications must be submitted by a sponsor such as a social worker or teacher. The next deadline is 4:00 pm on Friday, 25 July 2025.
These grants respond to clear community need, particularly in providing relief to those facing financial hardship, social exclusion, or limited access to support services.
