Funding to Fight Social, Economic & Environmental Injustice (UK & Ireland)
Grants of up to £1,000 are available to small local grassroots organisations fighting social, economic and environmental injustice across the UK and Ireland.
The funding is being made available through the Edge Fund, established to support radical political activities, such as protests.
What will the fund support?
- Applications with a primary objective of creating long-term change in society by addressing the causes of injustice and inequality
- Groups addressing issues that face a particular community that are led by that community
- Groups that struggle to get funding elsewhere, particularly if other funders might consider them to be "too radical”
- All types of non-profit organisations, including groups that are not formally registered
To be eligible, groups must have an annual income of less than £20,000.
Priority will be given to groups that struggle to get funding elsewhere, particularly if other funders might consider them to be "too radical".
A total of 40 grants will be awarded, and the closing date for applications is the 13th September 2024.
