Grant News
Grants are available to UK registered charities, schools, and voluntary and community groups to provide food and activities for disadvantaged children and young people during the school holidays.
The funding aims to promote healthy eating and physical activity among children up to 18 years old who are affected by poverty, the rising cost of living, and food insecurity.
Grant amounts will typically be between £1,000 and £3,000 but may vary depending on the length of the holiday programme, activities involved, and the supervision of children ratios required.
Previously supported projects include:
- arts and music workshops with a hot lunch
- visit to a local farm with packed lunch and snacks
- visit to a go-kart experience with a healthy hot meal
- cooking lessons including all ingredients and food to take home
The funding is made available through the Cash for Kids Holiday Hunger Grants programme which closes to applications on the 5th September 2024.
