Visual arts freelancers and self-employed people in Scotland are invited to apply for a share of £5,000 in funding to travel within the UK to support their work.

The Stephen Palmer Travel Bursary Fund 2023 will offer ten recipients up to £500 each to travel, either physically or digitally, to enhance their creative and professional development. The fund is open to freelance artists, curators, producers, writers and educators at any stage in their career, particularly those who have experienced limited opportunities to travel to develop their practice, including people with health conditions, disabilities and/or caring responsibilities.

The funding is made available by Creative Scotland, in partnership with Engage Scotland.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 20th April 2023.
