Not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding to deliver projects that improve communities and the environment.
The funding is made available through the SUEZ Communities Fund for projects that improve public amenities, repair religious or historic buildings, or support biodiversity in areas surrounding Suez landfill sites.
The maximum grant amount is:
- £50,000 for projects in England
- £40,000 for projects in Scotland
Funding typically covers:
- Materials
- Equipment
- contractors for improvement work
Projects within England must be located within a funding zone surrounding a qualifying site owned by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK. Please use the Post Code Checker to check eligibility. Projects in Scotland must be located in the vicinity of a landfill site or transfer station.
The next application deadline is 16 May 2026 for England and 13 May 2026 for Scotland.
