The Scottish Government has launched a new funding round of the Scottish Connections Fund. The fund aims to support projects that promote Scotland’s global reputation and interests. Open to both individuals and organisations with a Scottish connection, the fund offers grants ranging from £2,000 to £5,000, drawn from a total allocation of £75,000 for the 2025-2026 period.
The scheme is seeking to fund innovative new ventures that celebrate Scotland’s values, heritage, and international ties that will act as a catalyst for creative projects linking Scotland to worldwide communities, further strengthening international relationships and raising the nation’s positive profile across the globe.
The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts to foster international cultural, sporting, and economic exchange, signalling the government’s continued commitment to supporting global engagement and the Scottish diaspora.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on 9 September 2025. Prospective applicants are urged to review the eligibility requirements, as well as detailed application guidance, which are available on the Scottish Government’s official website. Successful recipients will be required to complete their projects by the end of March 2026.
