Grant News
CABWI, a UK-registered charity that supports other smaller charities working to equip young people and adults with the skills, confidence and experience to enter the labour market, has announced that it will open its next funding round on 5 January 2026.
The fund supports small to medium-sized UK registered charities that:
- Work with individuals with complex barriers to employment, enabling them to move closer or into employment, including but not restricted to ex-service personnel and ex-offenders.
- Work directly with young people and adults who are either not in employment, education, or training (NEET), to improve their access to employment and the labour market.
- Increase the life skills of people so that they may further develop their careers, with a particular focus on the water, utilities, and construction industries
Eligible applicants must have annual income below £1 million.
- Charities with income up to approximately £231,000 may apply for a grant of up to 15 % of their turnover.
- organisations with income between £231,000 and £1 million can apply for grants of up to £35,000 (or up to £40,000 depending on slightly different thresholds) for 12-month projects.
Funding can be used for core costs including paying the Living Wage and for project delivery or a combination of both. However, grants will not cover retrospective costs, major capital works, or projects operating outside the UK.
Prospective applicants should prepare to submit applications once the window opens, with further details and guidance available on CABWI’s website under the “What We Fund” section.
There will be a 2 stage application process. Stage 1 applications must be submitted by 26 January 2026. Those applicants successful at this stage will have until 17 April 2026 to submit the Stage 2 application.
