£500,000 Scheme to Support Recruitment of Displaced Care Workers (Scotland)
Adult social care employers are invited to apply for a share of £500,000 in Scottish Government funding to help them recruit displaced international workers who have lost sponsored employment through no fault of their own.
The Adult Social Care Displaced Worker Scheme will support employers with the costs of hiring up to three displaced workers who are already in the UK and affected by recent immigration policy changes.
To qualify, employers must:
- hold a current health and care visa sponsor licence
- have an existing, legitimate vacancy that they have not been able to fill
- be registered with the Care Inspectorate
The funding is intended to remove barriers to recruitment, such as Home Office fees and other relocation-related costs.
The closing date for applications is the 31st December 2025.
