Support for Schools to Deliver Film & Screen Education Activities (Scotland)
Early years, primary and secondary schools in Scotland can apply for grants of up to £5,000 to support projects that develop film and screen education for pupils.
The Schools Screen Education Fund, administered by Screen Scotland, aims to provide opportunities for children and young people to make, or collaborate in making, a film or other screen-based product.
The fund is designed to:
- support the development and growth of film and screen learning in schools
- support teacher and educators’ professional development to confidently deliver film and screen learning
- fund projects that make screen education a lasting part of the school experience of children and young people
- promote the value and benefit of screen education to students, teachers, and communities
Funding can be used to support a range of costs, such as:
- programme delivery
- specialist screen education practitioners
- training and professional development
- safeguarding costs related to your project
- showcase costs
- project access costs
Partnership applications are welcome.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with decisions taking up to eight weeks.
