£300,000 Fund to Support Musicians Touring Internationally (Scotland)

Musicians based in Scotland are set to benefit from a new £300,000 pilot fund designed to help cover the rising costs of international touring. The funding will be delivered by Creative Scotland and will provide rapid-response support for expenses such as travel, freight, and visa applications

The one-year scheme has been introduced in response to ongoing pressures in the sector, including increased travel costs and additional administrative requirements following the UK’s exit from the EU. These challenges have made it more difficult for musicians to tour internationally and reach wider audiences.

The programme will be evaluated to assess the ongoing support needs of musicians and to inform future policy.

Funding is being provided by the Scottish Government, with further details expected to be released in due course
