Funding for Arts Activities for Disadvantaged Children & Young People (Scotland)

Freelance artists and not for profit organisations in Scotland can apply for funding to deliver arts activities for disadvantaged children and young people.

A total of £758,000 is available through the Youth Arts Open Fund, which is funded by the Scottish Government and delivered in partnership by Creative Scotland and YouthLink Scotland.

The funding will support high-quality, accessible, community-based arts activities that enhance the health, wellbeing, skills and confidence of children and young people who may not otherwise have access to such opportunities.

Individual artists can apply for funding of up to £10,000, and organisations can apply for funding of up to £20,000 to deliver up to 12 months of arts activity.

The fund aims to build capacity among smaller-scale organisations, and applications from these organisations will be prioritised.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 21 July 2026.
