Grants of between £20,001 and £250,000 are available through The National Lottery Community Fund’s Community Action programme in Scotland.
The National Lottery Community Fund distributes money raised by National Lottery players to support community-led projects across the UK.
The programme will fund new or existing projects for up to five years. Projects must help people connect more with each other and be open, inclusive and led by the community. Applicants can be organisations of all sizes and levels of experience.
The funding is available to:
- constituted voluntary or community organisation
- constituted group or club
- registered charity
- Scottish charitable incorporated organisation (SCIO)
- not-for-profit company
- community interest company (CIC)
- community benefit society
Funding can support projects that:
- build positive relationships
- support people’s health or wellbeing
- help people improve their access and connection to nature
- make a positive difference to the environment
Meeting more than two outcomes will not increase the chances of success.
The programme is open to applications, with decisions expected in around 12 weeks. Organisations that have not previously received long-term funding of two years or more are unlikely to be offered more than £100,000 in total. Applications can be submitted at any time but should contact the funder to discuss the length and amount of funding before applying,
