Grants for Small Charitable Organisations Working in Disadvantaged Neighbourhoods (North East of England)

The Greggs Foundation is currently accepting applications for its North East Core Funding programme. The programme provides grants to charitable organisations in the North East of England that work to help people in need, especially those who are disadvantaged and excluded.

The funding is available to help cover core running costs, such as rent, bills, and salaries. Grants of up to £20,000 per year are available for a maximum of three years.

To be eligible, organisations must be not-for-profit, have a turnover of between £20,000 and £300,000, and work in the counties of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, or Teesside. They must also have a proven track record of working with one or more of the following priority groups:

  • People with disabilities
  • Homeless people
  • Voluntary carers
  • Older and isolated people

Organisations interested in applying should contact the grants manager before submitting an application. The closing date for applications is 12 noon on the 18th August 2023.
