Grants of up to £10,000 are available to small, local charities and community organisations for volunteer-led work providing support for people affected by the rising cost of living in Tyne & Wear and Northumberland.

The funding is made available through the William Leech Charity Fund, which expects to make approximately five to ten awards to organisations providing support for people living in poverty. The funding could be used to continue or expand existing volunteering schemes, or set up new ones; and support training, co-ordination and support costs for volunteers.

The closing date for applications is the 16th January 2023.
