Grant News
The National Archives is inviting archives across England to apply for Discover! Creative Careers grants, each worth £1,600, to help them take part in the Discover! Creative Careers programme. Eight grants will be awarded.
The grants are part of the Discover! Creative Careers initiative, a government-supported programme that aims to inform and inspire young people about careers in the creative and cultural industries by showcasing job roles, qualifications, and pathways.
Successful applicants will use the grants engage with schools, potentially for the first time. Successful applicants will use their grants to speak briefly at a school assembly in November 2025 before running sessions for school groups at their archive any time between November and National Careers Week in early March 2026.
Eligible applicants are archives organisations and businesses based in England; those in Scotland or Wales are not eligible. The funding is intended to enable more archives to participate in activities linked to Discover! Creative Careers, such as hosting events, providing insight into archival work, or contributing to career education resources.
The Discover! Creative Careers programme has a goal to reach 100,000 young people and strengthen diversity across the creative industries, with priority given to under-represented areas.
The closing date for applications is 11.59 pm on 9 October 2025.
