Grant News
Grants of up to £100,000 are available to bolster leadership capacity and capability in the UK's refugee and migration sector. The fund is available to grassroots organisations and individuals with lived experience of migration. Launched by Migration Exchange (MEX), the "Shaping the Future: Leadership Initiative" offers three distinct funding opportunities designed to support transformative leadership development.
The initiative provides targeted grants across three categories:
- individuals can apply for up to £10,000,
- organisations can request between £10,000 and £60,000,
- and collaborative partnerships can seek £60,000 to £100,000.
These funds aim to support leadership approaches that are anti-oppressive, wellbeing-focused, and grounded in lived experience of migration.
Applicants can design their own leadership programmes tailored to their specific needs, with a focus on building capacity, challenging systemic inequities, and driving meaningful change in the refugee and migration sector. The fund is particularly interested in supporting early-stage initiatives and organisations committed to wider ecosystem connections.
