The Philip Henman Trust is accepting applications for grants of up to £25,000 to support long-term overseas development projects run by major UK-registered charities. The Trust is a UK grant-making charity that supports three-to-five-year development projects overseas.
Funding is paid in annual instalments of £3,000 to £5,000. Projects can support areas such as education, skills development, basic infrastructure and technology, and must deliver lasting benefits for people, communities or the environment. Emergency relief and urgent medical projects are not eligible.

- Grants must cover between 20% and 80% of total project costs.

- Chance for Childhood – providing agribusiness training and livestock to families of children with severe communication difficulties in Rwanda.
- Chance For Change – training young people in Malawi as bicycle engineers and helping them use bicycles to access education and develop businesses.
- Inga Foundation – helping farmers in Honduras move away from slash-and-burn agriculture towards sustainable Inga Alley Cropping.
Applications are made online and considered once a year. Shortlisted applicants may be asked for further information.
The next deadline is 10 September 2027, with decisions made by 30 November.
