Community and voluntary sector groups can apply for a share of £220,000 in funding to deliver projects that help to reduce household waste in Greater Manchester.

The Recycle for Greater Manchester Community Fund is a joint Recycle for Greater Manchester and Suez initiative aimed at reducing household waste and contamination, increasing recycling and encouraging reuse.

Funding will be distributed via two awards:

• grants of up to £10,000 are available through Council level awards for projects that benefit individual council areas within Greater Manchester;
• grants of up to £20,000 are available through Greater Manchester level awards for projects that cover more than one council area or all nine councils (excluding Wigan).
