Funding to Support Community-Led Action on Gambling Harms (Greater Manchester)

Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations can apply for funding to address gambling-related harms and take action to reduce them.

The funding is delivered by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority through the Communities Against Gambling Harms programme.

The intended impact of this funding is for:

  • VCSE organisations to be better equipped to identify and support individuals at risk of gambling-related harm
  • Increased public knowledge and confidence around addressing gambling harms from enhanced engagement and education

Sixteen grants of £2,500 will be awarded to help organisations initiate conversations and raise awareness within their communities.

The programme is open to VCSE organisations with a turnover under £1 million, which are either:

  • Led by or working with communities experiencing racial inequalities
  • Working with low-income households (including groups that support people living in poverty, offer welfare/debt advice, or those experiencing multiple disadvantages)
  • Addressing broader inequalities in Greater Manchester.

Any kind of usual project costs can be included, e.g. staff time, expenses, overheads, consumables, equipment, administration, training, communications, marketing, etc.

Expressions of interest must be submitted by 12pm on the 2nd March 2026.
