Funding to Support Disadvantaged Children (UK)

Charities, schools and community organisations can apply for funding through Cash for Kids to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. The charity supports children from birth up to and including 18 years old who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or additional needs.

Grant programmes currently open are:

  • Impact Grants – Individuals: Funding of between £1,000 and £3,000 is available to support individual children and young people living in communities affected by poverty, abuse, neglect or those with additional support needs. Grants can help with essential items and support such as clothing, school uniform, sensory equipment, therapy, disability equipment, educational materials, sports equipment, or activities that promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Impact Grants – Groups: Schools, charities and community organisations can apply for grants, typically between £1,000 and £3,000, to support projects and activities that benefit disadvantaged children and young people. Funding can be used for equipment, resources, activities, and wider support that improves children’s wellbeing, inclusion, learning or development.
  • Holiday Hunger Grants: Funding is available for organisations delivering food and activities for disadvantaged children during the school holidays. Projects should help children access nutritious meals while also encouraging healthier eating, physical activity, and positive engagement during holiday periods.

Applicants need to select their local area on the Cash for Kids website to view further details, check local availability, and find out how to apply.
