Givestar’s Adventure for Good Grant Now Open for Applications (UK)

Charity fundraising platform Givestar has announced that its Adventure for Good Grant is now open for applications. This year, the grant is exclusively available to women in the UK, aiming to encourage greater female participation in adventure-based fundraising. The initiative addresses a gender imbalance observed in previous years, where 77% of applicants were men.

The £20,000 funding pool will be distributed among successful applicants to support expenses related to their fundraising challenges. Eligible costs include specialist gear, travel, accommodation, and other necessary equipment. Applicants must be women aged 18 or over, residing in the UK, and planning a significant fundraising challenge for a registered charity.

Givestar has previously supported fundraising efforts, including Russ Cook’s run across the length of Africa and Lara Vafiadis’ solo row across the Atlantic. Collectively, fundraisers within the Givestar community have raised over £1.5 million for charitable causes, demonstrating the impact of adventure-driven philanthropy.

To apply, candidates must complete the online application form, which includes written responses and a video submission. Applications are open on a rolling basis until 11:59 pm on 8th April 2025. Successful applicants will be notified by 14th April 2025 and must claim their grant within 14 days of acceptance.
