New Fund to Improve the Employability of Veterans & their Families (UK)

UK charities, community interest companies and universities can apply for funding for projects that help Veterans and their families

UK charities, community interest companies and universities can apply for funding for projects that help Veterans and their families secure stable long-term employment.

Under the Veterans’ Career Development Fund, organisations can apply for grants of up to £70,000 over two years for projects that provide Veterans and their families with the qualifications and training they need to access meaningful employment.

Applications are encouraged for projects that support Veterans who are facing particular barriers. This might include:

  • those who are not involved in education or have limited qualifications
  • women Veterans
  • LGBT+ Veterans
  • early Service leavers
  • Veterans with health challenges
  • Veterans from minority ethnic communities
  • those aged 50+ looking to re-enter the workforce

Collaborative projects are encouraged.

The funding is delivered by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust on behalf of the Office for Veterans’ Affairs.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 8th January 2024.
