Music Fund for People Living with Dementia (UK)

Local music and dementia groups, including choirs, can apply for funding to deliver music activities for people living with dementia and their carers.

The Power of Music Fund, established by the National Academy for Social Prescribing and the Utley Foundation, supports projects that make a difference to people’s physical and mental health through the power of music.

Multi-year grants of either £1,000 or £2,000 per year are available to cover costs such as travel, room hire, refreshment or administration costs.

There will also be one larger grant of £500,000 for a Centre of Excellence.

Applications will be accepted from:

  • UK constituted voluntary or community organisation
  • UK registered charity
  • UK charitable incorporated organisation (CIO)
  • UK not-for-profit company
  • UK community interest company (CIC)
  • UK statutory body e.g. NHS
  • A care provider registered with the CQC

The funding is available to organisations that provide music activities or working with people living with dementia as part of their existing delivery.

The closing date for applications is the 22nd December 2023.
