The Royal Countryside Fund (RCF) has announced a new £15 million strategy to extend its support for farming and rural communities across the UK.
Over the next four years, the RCF plans to increase and diversify its support programmes to reach even more rural communities and farm businesses.
The strategy intends to support 2,000 more farms, focusing on the most rural areas on a county-by-county basis.
This includes a £3 million investment in rural community-led projects through a new grants programme due to open in the autumn.
The grants programme will support rural communities in increasing their resilience, sustainability, and financial viability, helping them develop the skills and solutions they need to survive and thrive.
