Funding to Support Projects that Benefit Local Communities (UK, Isle of Man)

Grants are available for small charities, voluntary and community groups and other not-for-profit organisations to support projects that benefit local communities centred around Co-op Food Stores across the UK or the Isle of Man.

The Co-op Local Community Fund will fund projects that support this year’s themes of:

  • People - for projects that enable people to play a part in their community’s future
  • Planet - for projects that help to protect the planet

A total of £5 million in funding is available, with £6,000 to share between three local causes in each community.

Funding is determined by Co-op community members who vote on the project they wish to support.

Groups that can apply include:

  • Churches or Chapels that are excepted charities
  • Co-operative Societies
  • Community Benefit Societies
  • Community Interest Companies
  • Credit Unions
  • Registered Charities
  • Social Enterprises
  • Scout, Guide or Woodcraft Folk groups
  • Any other not-for-profit group

Applications for projects that promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion are encouraged.

The closing date for applications is noon on the 14th July 2024.
