£80 Billion Additional Support for Quantum & Space Sectors (UK)
The UK government has announced that scientists, researchers, and businesses working on cutting-edge quantum and space technologies will now have increased access to Horizon Europe funding, as part of the new 2025 Horizon Europe Work Programme.
Access to this funding and the international collaboration opportunities offered by Horizon will significantly boost these sectors.
The funding, worth around £80 billion, builds on high-potential tech areas like AI, telecoms and high-performance computing.
New Horizon funding calls will open in the coming weeks, with space and industry calls launching on the 22nd May 2025, and digital calls following on the 10th June 2025.
